Choosing the right maternity nursing bra can be a difficult task, as there are many options available. Fit

Support
Maternity nursing bras are constructed differently from everyday bras because the breasts are much heavier and require additional support. Make sure that both the inner and outer cup construction is sturdy and that seams are smooth. A triangular cup with an opening in the center is one of the best designs, as it provides a “sling” type of support for the breast. Shoulder straps, sides, and the back of the bra should be sufficiently wide so that the bra lays flat and doesn’t cut into the skin.

A good maternity nursing bra should allow a mother to hold her baby with one arm and use the other hand to open the bra cup for feeding. Two-handed cup closures are an exercise in frustration, especially when in a hurry to feed a cranky, hungry baby.

A nursing mother likes to feel feminine and sexy, and maternity nursing bras with features like a lower décolletage, fashionable colors, or decorative embroidery help to accomplish this. Lace and pearl embellishments also help to add style.
